Virtual Assistant

10 game changing benefits of a Virtual Assistant franchise.

We welcomed our first Alchemy Virtual Assistant Hub Manager Sarah back in January, and we think it’s safe to say that it’s been a wilder ride than any of us expected! We wanted to celebrate and document Sarah’s journey here on our blog.

Read, in her own words, ten game changing benefits Sarah has experienced from investing in an Alchemy Virtual Assistant Franchise...

ONE - THE PRESS COVERAGE

The first and probably the most personally significant. In the first week of my business I was live on BBC Radio Northamptonshire with several other amazing local businesses discussing home working. Suzy and Paul were also on the evening BBC regional TV news and my face was in (and on) several publications throughout my launch month.

There’s no way this would have been possible at week one if I’d started off on my own.

Not only was it incredible exposure, it was also a huge boost to my credibility and confidence. It was also a lot of fun!
TWO - THE BESPOKE TRAINING

I wasn’t given a huge training manual and sent on my way.

Alchemy Virtual Assistance conduct their bespoke franchise training one-on-one and face to face before my Virtual Assistant business launched. Meaning that individual learning styles can be accounted for and I was learning in an interactive way directly from the people who built the business. I obviously have the business manual and wider documentation to support me. This also meant that we could spend as much (or as little) time on any of the vast topics we needed to cover. Blended and supported learning, at my own pace.

THREE - THE REAL VALUE OF AN ESTABLISHED BRAND

Put simply, investing in an Alchemy Virtual Assistant franchise meant that I could truly hit the ground running.

On day one I had (amongst many other things) a business name, brand and business cards. Meaning that instead of procrastinating on what to call my Virtual Assistant business, learning how to build a website and design business cards (the list goes on…) I could confidently put myself out there and start talking to connections and potential clients! That time and hassle saving, to me, is priceless.

FOUR - THE PEACE OF MIND AND SUPPORT

Starting or growing a business is tough. In the first month (and beyond) of my Virtual Assistant business, I felt confident knowing that Suzy and Paul were at the end of the phone to help with any questions or challenges that I had. I also take great comfort from the knowledge that I can rely on the wider Alchemy team for support in things such as IT, accounting and legal.

However, this stretches far beyond the practical things, it’s been a rollercoaster and in my Virtual Assistant mentoring sessions we’ve covered the emotional and mindset aspects to being your own boss.
FIVE - THE QUALITY OF WORK OPPORTUNITIES

In my first month as a Virtual Assistant, I secured 4 clients all who required ongoing work.

I was really worried about finding clients and I certainly wasn’t expecting it to happen so quickly and easily!

Whilst I continued to focus on building up my network, Alchemy Virtual Assistance were able to pass me good quality opportunities (worth thousands of pounds!) with really exciting and varied businesses.

SIX - THE SPEED OF CONVERTING ENQUIRIES INTO A HAPPY CLIENTS

Drawing on a combination of my skills/experience, the training and support I have and the fact that the enquiries came off the back of Alchemy Virtual Assistance’s award winning reputation meant that I was able to efficiently convert them into happy clients and quickly.

Great for my cashflow, workflow and confidence!

Again, if I’d started up on my own, this would simply not have been possible as I’d probably still be up to my eyeballs in ‘how to become a Virtual Assistant’ webinars, online training manuals or courses.

SEVEN - THE ALMOST INSTANT CREDIBILITY

People know Alchemy Virtual Assistance and if they don’t, when they look us up we have a strong online presence, optimised website, recognisable and consistent brand. Meaning that my credibility gets a boost and I’m effortlessly elevating myself way beyond a lifestyle ‘working from home in my pjs around the kids’ kind of Virtual Assistant.

I’m both my own boss and part of an established company.

EIGHT - THE REFINED SERVICE OFFERING AND PRICING

The team at Alchemy Virtual Assistance have done all of the hard work. They’ve tested, refined, failed, read, researched and tried again - over and over. Their passion for their business (and the wider Virtual Assistant industry) is clear. I’m happy and relieved that I don’t have to do all that myself. I’d much rather be meeting and serving my new clients! Which I can confidently do with a ready-made and priced Virtual Assistant service offering.
NINE - A COMPANY WIDE MARKETING STRATEGY

Similar to point eight, operating a Virtual Assistant business is very different to marketing one. I’ve never done either before, but Alchemy VA have years of experience and a wider marketing strategy that I benefit from. They do a lot centrally, so I don’t have quite as much to worry about (or do!) yet I still have the clarity, understanding and freedom to explore and learn more about marketing in my own time.

It’s win win!

TEN - WE'RE BIG ENOUGH TO DELIVER AND SMALL ENOUGH TO CARE

Our clients benefit from the collective knowledge of a Virtual Assistant company plus the practicalities of not relying on just one person. It’s clear to me that Alchemy Virtual Assistance is big enough to deliver and small enough to care. Our clients benefit from a wider pool of skills, collective experience and a consistent service. Closer to home, I don’t have to worry quite as much as I know I have the team to ask, learn from and help me out when I take some time off! After all, a better work life was what first attracted me to building my own Virtual Assistant business

Yes, I’m investing a lot of time, energy and money but the Alchemy Virtual Assistant franchise model in my opinion is a very lean, efficient and impactful one. I’m proud to be a part of it.

It’s been a steep learning curve but I’m loving every minute of it and I’m excited to see what the future holds!
