It’s been a while since I’ve written like this and I’m actually wondering why? As starting at a blank page and letting my thoughts flow is something that I really cherish!
Let’s be honest, running a business doesn’t always allow time or space for the tasks you truly cherish.
Amongst the day to day busyness and demands, it can be hard to prioritise joy. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
More on that later…
The end of January 2026 saw Alchemy’s remarkable Franchise Partners gathering together in person. We speak and connect often, but being together in a room really is something else entirely.
This year we gathered at The Barn at Berry Fields - a 4th generation, family run, multi-award winning, independent venue in the rolling countryside near Birmingham. Who were truly exceptional hosts! If you're ever in the area, I would highly recommend that you stop by.

So what was our gathering all about?
I think the newest Franchise Partner to join Alchemy Virtual Assistance summed it up best. Stating how kind and welcoming everyone is. For someone who’s just made the courageous decision to take the big leap into business (and has not yet started their VA Franchise Launch Training Programme) to arrive in a room full of vastly experienced, wise and beautifully headstrong women and feel totally at ease, confident and familiar - is something truly special.

As I right this, I can’t quite find the words to describe how proud and grateful I am to work with such magnificent, vibrant and inspiring people. Alchemy VA is now in its tenth year and the scared, shy and unsure person who started out on her own as a freelance VA almost ten years ago would not have been able to even dream of what laid ahead. And I’m sitting here today giddy at the prospect of what the next ten years will bring.
The good, the bad and the ugly…
It’s all welcome. Because I know I’m flowing in an aligned direction with the right people by my side.
Later in the evening, we gently put business aside, and we settled down to enjoy a beautiful meal together…
Divine food, the very best company… hilarious and surprising stories were shared, belly laughs were had, glasses were clinked and even a sneaky few tequila shots were consumed!
In my humble opinion, that’s the perfect reflective, empowering, uplifting and motivating end to a long, dark and damp January.
However the rest of the winter unfolds for you, may it be peaceful and productive.
Brighter days are coming.
