Our Founder Suzy Sanders has proudly joined the Board at The Lewis Foundation and will act as Trustee for the charity.
The Lewis Foundation source, package and hand deliver free gifts and support packs to adult cancer patients in hospitals across the midlands every week. The packs contain items that patience might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford.
It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment, and for many people in hospital, The Lewis Foundation volunteers are their only regular visitors.
The Lewis Foundation rely on donations, fundraising support and volunteers to make a difference.
Suzy Sanders has been an active supporter of The Lewis Foundation for several years, getting involved with various fundraising activities as well as previously donating our Virtual Assistant support to the charity.
“I am so immensely proud to have been invited to join the charity’s board as a trustee. It’s a position I accepted in a heartbeat and will honour & cherish. I’m jumping in wholeheartedly to this opportunity to honour one of my dearest friends who kicked cancers nasty arse last year. I am painfully aware that so many people aren’t as lucky…”
Suzy’s appointment comes as the multiple award winning Lewis Foundation enters its 9th year. The foundation is currently enabled by a team of approximately 50 volunteers who are dedicated to providing around 3,000 free packs every month to hospitals across Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Leicestershire, Chesterfield, Luton and Dunstable.
