October marks Alchemy Virtual Assistance’s business birthday and in 2025 we’re turning nine!
What started with Suzy Sanders as a solo Virtual Assistant back in 2016 has grown and evolved to be the UK’s only family run Virtual Assistant Franchise. Today we proudly serve a global client base, led by nine phenomenal Franchise Partners from various locations across the UK.
In numerology, the number 9 represents completion and wisdom as the final single-digit number, signalling the end of a cycle and the start of a new one. It's a number sometimes associated with compassion, creativity, growth and giving.
To some, nine is a number that encourages the transformation of experiences into wisdom for the greater service to others. Which aligns beautifully to Alchemy VA’s purpose – we commit to grow together so that no one has to chose between their family and their work.

Since 2016, we have served over 500 remarkable clients, generating over 45,000 hours for them – that’s over 1700 days – almost 5 years!
As we mark this wonderful milestone in our own gentle way, it’s also a time we’re continuing to express deep gratitude to all the remarkable people who are journeying with us…

Alchemy VA – A brief history
1. Alchemy Virtual Assistance was founded by Suzy in October 2016
3. Suzy saw her first award success of many being named a Finalist at the UK VA Awards, Midlands Region in October 2018
4. Suzy and Paul launched the Alchemy VA Franchise model in late 2019 with Sarah Damani (Wellingborough) being the first Franchise Partner
8. Suzy and Paul welcomed their second child in 2021
10. Early 2022 saw Alchemy VA Partner with the University of Northampton as part of their Knowledge Exchange Programme to deliver Government funded Virtual Assistant support to 50 businesses across the county.
11. 2022 also saw Suzy being invited to join the judging panel of the prestigious PA Life Star Awards which she’s done every year since.
15. Suzy took to the stage at London excel in early 2024 to speak at the PA Show. She also spoke at the UK Virtual Assistant Conference.

19. Suzy became Trustee for the Lewis Foundation in early 2025
