Meet Steph Lunt
Steph Lunt is one of our trusted Virtual Assistant Franchise Partners who heads up all things Alchemy in North Staffordshire.
Starting her adventure into Virtual Assistance in 2024, Steph completed her Virtual Assistant Launch training in the winter of 2024 and officially launched Alchemy Virtual Assistance in North Staffordshire in early 2025!
Why not tune into what makes Steph tick, why she chose to start her Virtual Assistant business in partnership with Alchemy VA and discover the value an Alchemy VA can bring...

Let's start at the beginning. Steph, please share a little bit about yourself...
I'm a wife, mum, and Alchemy Virtual Assistant Franchise Partner! Before joining Alchemy, I was a Paralegal in a small law firm. Prior to that I worked various administrative roles within the banking and financial sector.
I have two boys with my husband Ant, we've been together for 20 years and married for 10. We live in a small town called Leek, in the Staffordshire Moorlands. I was born in North Yorkshire, but we moved down here when I was younger. I still have family 'up north' and love to go up there at least once a year. We always stay near Whitby as we absolutely love it there!
I'm a major homebody and love nothing more than being at home - in my pjs! When I do venture out, I love family days out, anything involving food and spa days!
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A midwife or cabin crew member!
How did you first discover Alchemy Virtual Assistance?
I wanted to become a Virtual Assistant when my eldest was around 2 years old. I realised that I wanted more flex and to be more present, not miss any of the big motherhood moments. But couldn't visualise how to make my plan come to fruition. If I am honest, at the time I battled with a lack of confidence and syptoms of impostor syndrome.
But moving forward a few (too many!) years and I discovered Alchemy Virtual Assistance whilst doing some online research into franchises. I'd seen a few Virtual Assistant franchises over the years, but they didn't seem like a good fit for me.
As soon as I found Alchemy, it just felt right!
The fact that Alchemy VA is family-run, award-winning and a strong, trusted brand really stood out to me. After speaking with the founder, Suzy Sanders, I instantly felt like I'd found the missing piece of my Virtual Assistant puzzle!

What do you love most about being an Alchemy VA Franchise Partner?
I love that I have the freedom and flexibility that comes with being self-employed but have the support of Alchemy HQ and the rest of the Alchemy family. I'm never alone and there's always someone I can ask for help or to just have a chat with! 💛
In your experience and opinion - what is the most significant benefit to a small business working with Alchemy VA?
Being able to share their mental load! Having trusted, reliable and professional support, so you can delegate what you don't like doing (or don't know how to!) and create time to focus on what matters most.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever been given?
Instead of thinking what could go wrong...think about what could go right!
Also, no one is you and that is your superpower! 💪
What does a typical day look like to you?
The boys wakes us all up at the crack of dawn 😆 Then it's breakfast and time to get everyone ready for the school run. When I'm back home the first thing I do is enjoy a quiet coffee and check my calendar and emails.
The rest of the morning is dedicated to client work. After lunch I look at what activities I want to do to continue to develop myself and my business. The rest of my afternoon I keep clear for focused work before picking up the boys from school. Family time always starts with snacks! Then once tea, baths, and bedtime is all finished, Ant and I usually have an hour or so together to chill.

Lastly, what advice would you give someone considering getting the support of a Virtual Assistant?
Firstly, do your research. Read up on reviews and make sure your potential Virtual Assistant is registered with the ICO as well as having the appropriate insurances and policies in place.
Then be sure to speak to a few VAs - have conversations to see if you share the same mindset and values aswell as the more practical considerations around skillset. Establishing your needs and budget before these converastions will be helpful all round. Lastly, ensure that you have the capacity to provide your chosen Virtual Assistant with the time, information, access and resources they need to make life easier for you!
