Alchemy VA franchisee is fundraising again for the Lewis Foundation
Our very own Gemma McMillian, Alchemy Virtual Assistant Franchise Hub Manager in Northampton, is taking another daring leap in order to raise funds and show her support for Midlands-based cancer charity The Lewis Foundation.
On 14th May 2022 our Gemma will be joining a team of the Lewis Foundation supporters including Lorraine Lewis in jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet! As if that wasn't scary enough, she will accelerate towards the ground at up to 120mph, covering each thousand feet in approximately five seconds, before deploying her parachute at around 5,000 feet!
This isn't the first brave leap Gemma has taken for the Lewis Foundation, having completed a 400ft abseil in the summer. All money raised from both big, daring jumps will help to fund free gift packs for adult cancer patients in hospital around the Midlands.
A little more about Gemma McMillian...
Gemma joined the Alchemy Virtual Assistant family in the winter of 2020 ahead of her VA franchise Hub launching in January 2021.
Whilst Gemma held a secure employed role, the impact of the pandemic shifted her focus and thinking. She felt the need to seriously start exploring a more meaningful and fulfilling career that worked flexibly around her life.
Gemma is particularly passionate about her Alchemy VA Hub supporting local independent businesses, social enterprises and not for profit organisations. She truly believes that they are the life blood of our economy and that’s where she can make the most impact.
A little more about the Lewis Foundation...
The incredible volunteer lead team at the Lewis Foundation source, package and hand deliver free gift packs to adult cancer patients in hospital and the community weekly - items they might find difficult to buy themselves or simply cannot afford. It can be a sad, frightening and lonely experience for individuals undergoing cancer treatment at the best of times, let alone during the pandemic. For many people in hospital and the community, the Lewis Foundation volunteers are their only regular visitors.
