Alchemy Virtual Assistance was founded by Suzy Sanders in 2016 following the birth of her son in 2015. Upon returning to work within a Global Recruitment company as Executive Assistant to the Chief HR Officer she no longer felt fulfilled or challenged by her role. Motherhood bought with it great strength, resilience and incredible clarity.
Powered and inspired by the unwavering support from her Husband Paul, Suzy set about starting her Virtual Assistant business from a home office in Northamptonshire. Unknown to her then, quite what challenges and triumphs laid out for her. Alchemy Virtual Assistance has grown organically with virtually all its clients coming from either personal recommendations or word of mouth.
Flexibility, fun and family are at the heart of the business, along with dedication and a solid work ethic.
In 2018 Suzy was named a finalist in the UK VA Awards - Midlands region, and again in 2019. Alchemy Virtual Assistance was named Northamptonshire Life Magazine’s B2B of the Year in 2018 and in 2019 Suzy was nominated for the We Are The City – Rising Star Award for Entrepreneurship. 2019 brought further awards recognition with Suzy being named as a finalist in the SME Northamptonshire Business Awards in two categories – Business Woman and Entrepreneur of the Year.
Alchemy Virtual Assistance is run by both Suzy and Paul Sanders – one of the very few husband and wife Virtual Assistant teams.
Whilst Suzy’s background is PA, Executive support and marketing, Paul’s career history spans across debt management, credit control, call center leadership and training. Suzy and Paul's skill-sets and personalities complement each other’s perfectly and when the partnership was formed, the business benefited from twice the knowledge, experience and skills - all of which is passed onto its clients.

Before I embarked on the roller-coaster ride of self-employment I was an Executive Assistant supporting a Board Level Executive within a Global Recruitment Company. Diplomacy and discretion coupled with an innovative and proactive approach enabled me to flourish within such a demanding, fast paced environment.
In addition to many years as an Executive Assistant I have over a decade of practical hands on experience within Office Management and Administration as well as operating as an integral part of HR, Projects, Events, Marketing, Sales and Hospitality teams. My experience spans across several industries including Recruitment, Service Delivery and Technology.
My life, outlook, mind-set and focus shifted dramatically when I became a mother. I came to realise that my true passion lies in helping people, that I'm driven by making a difference and that supporting just one Executive was no longer enough. This thinking, combined with the new-found strength and determination motherhood bought, caused me to completely rethink my career. In 2016 I founded Alchemy VA, the unconventional Virtual Assistant Service working alongside my husband Paul.

I am the kind of guy that likes to really understand how things work and take great pleasure in picking processes and systems apart in order to rebuild them in more streamlined and efficient way. I have initiated and implemented various slick procedures to the Alchemy VA team and I continue to ‘wow’ everyone with my Excel wizardry....even if I do say so myself (Suzy does agree by the way)
I bring a wealth of experience to the table from my extensive financial background, Credit Management being my forte. In my corporate roles I have; supervised and motivated teams, implemented and evaluated new procedures and delivered training across multiple departments.
Like the rest of the Alchemy VA Team, family comes first for me. Whilst working so closely alongside my wife may bring its challenges it also brings a whole wealth of benefits and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
